Learn how to boulder outside effectively while reducing the risk of injury from an accredited AMGA Single Pitch Instructor.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Students will learn and demonstrate how to read a guidebook to find climbing areas and specific climbs.

Students will learn and demonstrate climbing movement skills on rock such as smearing, flagging, mantling, and much more.

Students will learn and demonstrate how to properly place bouldering pads on a variety of landing zones.

Students will learn and demonstrate how to spot a climber to minimize their risk of getting injured.

Students will learn and demonstrate how to fall properly to minimize the risk of getting injured.

Students will learn and demonstrate appropriate crag etiquette and Leave No Trace principles applied to local climbing crags.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

Rock Climbing Shoes

Chalk Bag

*Bouldering pads will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
