Learn the methods required to complete multi-pitch climbs and reinforce your sport climbing, anchor building and rappelling skills.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Students will learn and practice various knots and hitches used in multi-pitch climbing. 

Students will learn and demonstrate how to belay from above and bring up a second climber using various personal tethering methods. 

Students will learn and demonstrate rope maintenance and quick transitions including swinging leads and leading in blocks. 

Students will review and practice sport climbing and creating multi-pitch sport climbing anchors. 

Students will review and practice rappelling and cleaning multi-pitch climbs.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

Helmet

Rock climbing shoes

Harness

ATC belay device (guide mode) & 2 locking carabiners

Personal tether & 2 locking carabiners

2 Non-locking carabiners

2 Locking carabiners

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

2 : 1 Student to Instructor Ratio

8 hours of instruction

Min 2 participants for course to run

Maximum 4 participants
