Mercedes Pollmeier Training Clinics
To move with mastery, you have to learn the basics of movement. We will cover strength, flexibility, and control through a variety of ground movements that include locomotion, joint mobility, and balance exercises. The goal of this class is to transfer this idea of body control on the ground to the climbing wall.
Grip Strength Clinic
This clinic will cover the basics of how to improve your grip strength safely without the use of hangboards or campus boards. Once the basic understandings are there, Mercedes will cover protocols using the hangboards and other climbing specific tools.
System Board Clinic
This clinic will cover why systems training is so important to developing motor control, as well as how to use symmetrical and asymmetrical climbing walls to improve your climbing movement.
Dynamic Movement Clinic
If you find yourself using a ton of muscle in your climbing movement, this clinic if for you. Come learn how to relax and bounce from hold to hold, making your movement more efficient.
Audrey Sniezek Training Clinics
Learning to develop contact and finger strength can be an asset in rock climbing. If you want to learn what hangboard workouts are really about and how and when to structure a hangboard workout for yourself, this clinic is for you. No previous experience necessary. Applicable for all skill levels. You will learn why people train on a hangboard, when is the right time to pick up this type of training, and specific exercises to do.
Harness and improve your ability to do powerful climbing moves. As a sport climber, who represented the US in bouldering World Cups, I had to learn how to develop power. What makes a climber powerful and how can you develop your own power? We will look at specific techniques for a variety of applications in climbing. You will leave with some specific tools that will help you become a more powerful climber.
Power Endurance Clinic
Having trouble pulling hard move after hard move? Is your stamina never quite where you would like it to be? What can you do to link past that one frustrating move on a climb or have more energy to tackle harder climbs? Power endurance is the most useful tool to learn for your climbing arsenal. This clinic is great for everyone at all abilities, best if you have some climbing experience.
Campus Board Clinic
One of the most powerful tools for a climber is the infamous Campus board. We'll talk about why it's helpful, when to make use of it and who should be training on it. You will have the opportunity to try it out and leave understanding how a campus workout will help and when it is right for you to train on one.
