I’m Megan Fritz and I am originally from Boston, MA and moved to Seattle, WA back in 2016 to be closer to the outdoors. I have a background as a Mechanical Engineer but have decided to switch career paths and am currently working for a start-up company.

I originally founded Never Stop Moving (NSM) to have a committed group of womxn who wanted to work together on our climbing goals. I never would have imagined it would turn into a full blown non-profit organization and I couldn’t be more delighted.

I am extremely passionate about our mission because rock climbing has changed my life, and has brought me so much joy that I want to enable all womxn to have the same opportunities. Outdoor recreation is so important to me for my mental health, self-confidence, perseverance and so much more and I have seen how it can bring people together. I want all womxn from all different backgrounds to have the ability to experience the outdoors in a life changing way.

I am an avid skiier, rock climber and hiker and am just starting to get into mountain biking which I am now obsessed with. I love learning new things and just being outside with friends as much as possible.

I’m Janessa Zucchetto and I recently moved from Spokane, WA to Napa, CA. So far I am amazed by the outdoor recreation that CA has to offer. I’m looking forward to exploring my new home with friends that share my passion for climbing.

For me climbing offers an intersection of three really great things: an intimate perspective of the outdoors, a continuous challenge, and genuine people. I started climbing while attending college in Eastern Washington. I liked the workout climbing provided but even more it helped me to completely focus my busy mind on a single task--getting up the wall. Even today I find climbing meditative.

After years of graduate school and international travel funded by random seasonal employment, I moved to Seattle where I joined NSM. My experience as part of NSM was overwhelmingly positive. I became a more confident climber and met some truly exceptional friends.

My nostalgia for the Seattle group and my desire to get to know my new community have motivated me to become a leader within NSM.

I have been a member of NSM for three years, volunteered as a trip coordinator and am now a board member. I have been climbing for about 3 years and enjoy sport climbing indoors and outdoors.

NSM has introduced me to so many amazing women and other queer folx who love climbing, teaching, learning and connecting with other people. NSM has given me access to learning experiences through its classes and leadership that I would not have had otherwise. I resonate deeply with the mission and vision of NSM and hope to bring that passion to the board and other areas of the organization that I continue to volunteer for.

Outside of climbing, I work at REI, as a Director of Rehab at an Assisted living, and I coach club volleyball. I am so happy to be part of NSM and have found many good friends through this organization.

At Large Member: Alice Bayly

Pronouns: She/her/hers

I’m Alice Bayly, I was born and raised in Moscow, Idaho. I’ve stayed near the Pacific Northwest my whole life. Living in Corvallis, Oregon for my undergraduate studies in Sociocultural Anthropology and French, and then moving to Seattle after graduation.

I have been a runner my whole life and I was introduced to climbing when recurring injuries sidelined me from running. My passion for climbing quickly equaled my passion for running as I fell in love with this amazing sport that opened the opportunity to exercise my body and brain at the same time. I became obsessed with both the physically exhausting and the technical aspects of climbing, as well as the immensely supportive and positive community surrounding the sport. I find nothing more exhilarating than a day spent hiking, climbing, hiking more, eating food, hopping in the river for a bit, climbing some more, hiking some more, crouching around a jetboil, and ultimately relaxing with amazingly brave, dedicated, and supportive people.

In my professional life, I work at REI in Tukwila, and I look forward to continued studies in either Environmental or Medical Anthropology. I’m excited for the opportunity NSM provides to create experiences where women can explore climbing adventures together and build a community around this wonderful sport!
